Groups & Times:  Traditionally, we divide tour groups into three rotating stations and provide a tour that lasts at least 1 ½-2 hours long.  However, we can customize the tour to work in many different ways, for different durations and covering different types of content.  Just let us know what you have in mind and together we can make a plan.  We are flexible!

Restroom Facilities:   We do have one basic bathroom in the milk center.

Buses:   Buses will have plenty of space to park on the farm.

Name Tags:  These are optional, but they help facilitate more interaction and discussion with the students.

Clothing:  The students will be both outside in the weather (and sometimes mud!) and in unheated barns.  Please have everyone dress appropriately for visiting a farm and the weather of the day.

For more dairy fun give these videos a look. These are awesome resources to prepare your group/students for a tour to our dairy farm. The first video , “Willow Bend Farm” is of our  dairy farm.  “How to Feed a calf” video and “Farm it Maybe”  both star New York dairy kids on their own New York dairy farms.  As an additional video reference be sure to view “Life on a Dairy Farm” for a more detailed video of dairy farming.  This video highlights the Patterson Dairy Farm, also in the Finger Lakes area.
